Social Media Tool of the Month: Make your IG account work harder with Linktree

One of the frustrating things about Instagram is that you are limited to using one exterior link in your short bio space. My ‘Social Media Tool’ of the month ‘LinkTree’ is designed to overcome this issue by allowing you to link to as many pages you wish, all from one link in your Instagram profile!

Linktree works in a very straightforward way. Once connected to your Instagram account, LinkTree will provide you with a single link to place in your Instagram profile. This link directs viewers to a page which can be customised to feature all your important online destinations in one place. For example I currently link to my Facebook, Twitter, Website and LinkedIn and Blog! You can even customise your LinkTree to drive traffic to specific posts, whether it be your ‘contact us page’ or your ‘latest blog post’.

The free version of LinkTree offers unlimited links so here are some ideas of the links you could direct people to:

  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Website
  • Linked In
  • Google Map
  • Contact Us
  • Latest Blog Post
  • Prices

You dont want to overwhelm your viewers with too many options so make sure you don’t include thousands of links, just the ones you really want to drive traffic to.

Currently I use the free version which provides:

  • Unlimited links on your linktree.
  • Click tracking for each link.
  • A selection of linktree themes.

However there is a pro-version which offers:

  • Unlimited links on your linktree.
  • Click tracking for each link.
  • A selection of linktree themes.
  • Custom branding
  • Facebook Pixel Integration
  • Scheduled Links

Do you use Linktree? Let me know how you get on!
